Zonta Club of the Black Hills
Since 1950 Zonta Club of the Black Hills has been supporting local efforts through advocacy, service projects, scholarships and fundraising as well as extending aid to women and children worldwide through Zonta International’s efforts. Over the past decade we have raised thousands of dollars per year to support community based programs and scholarships and international projects making a positive impact on the lives of women and girls.

Keep us, O God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.
Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense and meet each other face to face-
without self-pity and without prejudice.
May we be never hasty in judgment, and always generous.
Let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene, gentle.
Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.
Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences;
that in the big things of life we are at one.
And may we strive to touch and to know the great common woman's heart of us all,
and O Lord God, let us forget not to be kind!

Service Organization of the Year Selected
Black Hills Center for
Aging (formerly known as the Adult Day Center)
The Black Hills Center for Aging (formerly known as the Adult Day Center of the Black Hills) has been selected as our Zonta Club of the Black Hills 2024-2025 Service Organization of the Year. 
The Black Hills Center for Aging serves people of all ages (as young as 16), supporting care and social connection for the elderly or disabled, including family support. Guests may be survivors of stroke or traumatic brain injuries or have dementia, Parkinson's, or other disabilities. The Center supports respite for caregivers, of which women account for 81%, and they give over 50% more time than men in that role. Additionally, women have higher percentages of dementia and Alzheimer's diagnoses compared to men.
Our support will include interacting with the clients and the caregivers, volunteer projects, in-kind donations, and marketing support as they expand services to a second location.

Zonta International

The Zonta International Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Zonta International, raises and oversees funds to support and promote Zonta’s global service and advocacy programs of Zonta International:
- The Rose Fund enables leadership to expand programs and projects as needed and respond to immediate needs that may arise. Supports the general operations and administration of Zonta service programs and other activities.
- The International Service Fund supports different projects each biennium that improve the quality of life for women through developing women’s leadership and economic skills.
- The ZISVAW Fund (Zonta International Strategies to Eradicate Violence Against Women and Children) focuses on prevention, awareness and education to eliminate violence against women and children.
